berezovskiy was appointed commander ofthe ukrainian navy on 1 march 2014 and swore an oath to the crimean armed forces, thereby breaking his oath to the ukrainian navy. he was then appointed deputy commander ofthe black sea fleet of the russian federation until 2015. he is currently the deputy commander of the pacific fleet of the russian federation and a vice admiral.
